It's OK to shine: how your energy vibes unlock success and confidence

Sasha Cameron, Founder of Mind-Syntropy

Ever felt completely exhausted despite doing everything right? Claire sits down with Sasha Cameron to explore how we can unblock our life force, heal emotional trauma, and finally give ourselves permission to shine.

Three things to take away

  • If everything feels like huge effort and takes ages to recover from, you may be running on survival mode.

  • Contentment beats the rollercoaster. A steady baseline protects you from the crash after every high.

  • You get what you permit. Raising your self-worth changes how others treat you.

Inside the episode

When the body starts to speak

Sasha's work starts with a simple idea. Physical symptoms are often signals we've ignored for a long time, until the body finds a louder way to be heard.

One client had been on thyroid medication for around 30 years. After two sessions, working through anger she had never been allowed to express as a child, her consultant first halved her medication and then took her off it. Sasha is clear that anyone should keep talking to their doctor, but the body often has something to tell us.

Survival mode switches off creativity

Sasha describes sexual energy as our life force. It's the energy that helps us create, grow and thrive, and it's the first thing to switch off when we're stuck in fight or flight.

For business owners, the signs are familiar. Ideas dry up. You stop knowing what you want. Every project takes everything you've got, and you need ages to recover. That's the hamster wheel, and it's a sign you're creating from your own reserves rather than from flow.

Permission to shine

The episode was sponsored by the Diamond Setter in Tunbridge Wells, and Sasha loves the link. Diamonds have spent millions of years in the ground before they get to shine.

Her tip is to anchor confidence in something physical. A piece of jewellery, or her own "power boots", can become a reminder that you're worthy and ready to be seen.

Whose cup is getting filled?

In relationships, Sasha asks whether two people are walking side by side as grown-ups, or propping each other up. When one person is always pouring into the other, both end up levelling out, and one is usually left depleted.

Helping someone can also meet a need in us, like feeling the hero. That's fine, as long as it's a choice. If it starts draining your own life, you can choose again and create some distance.

The mixology moment

At the end of every episode, our guests choose one word to put into the cocktail shaker for success and one word to put on ice. Here is what Sasha Cameron had to say...

Into the cocktail shaker for success

Content

Not the emotional rollercoaster of amazing highs and the come-down that follows, but a calm, steady baseline where life feels good and is going your way.

Put on ice

Self-devaluation

Valuing yourself low is the root of so many problems people later complain about. You get what you permit, and self-worth is something you can work on and change.
